The Heart's Calling is a mother-and-daughter partnership. Our business practices are based on Christian truths and principles.

Judy Beavers, the mom in this team, is an accomplished calligrapher, artist and writer. She left her fulltime job as a human resources professional after more than a decade in the corporate world to devote more of her time to her church and family and to once again pursue the creative interests she once enjoyed. She has been married to steel guitarist Randy Beavers for 33 years. Randy and Judy have two grown children and four grandchildren.

Lynna Nix has worked on desktop publishing, copy-editing and writing projects since high school. She received a full scholarship to Tennessee Technological University, where she furthered these interests and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in English-Journalism in 1999. Since then, Lynna has worked part time on freelance projects. She has been married to Mark Nix for 13 years, and they have three daughters.

Both ladies are active members of Spring Creek Presbyterian Church, where Judy serves as a commissioned lay pastor and Lynna serves as the clerk of session and children’s Sunday School teacher.
